Els titulats universitaris hauran d´acreditar una tercera llengua

Mas-Colell vol que ''una vegada per totes'' hi hagi la garantia que els titulats no tenen problema amb l'anglès

ACN | BARCELONA El conseller d'Economia i Coneixement, Andreu Mas-Colell, ha anunciat aquest dijous que proposarà requerir als estudiants universitaris un cert nivell d'anglès, equivalent al First o B2 en el cas d'anglès, per titular-se. Per Mas-Colell és una mesura que presentaran al Consell Interuniversitari de Catalunya les properes setmanes amb l'objectiu d'aconseguir que ''d'una vegada per totes'' els titulats universitari tinguin garantides les competències amb una tercera llengua. El conseller d'Economia i Coneixement també ha reconegut que hi haurà més retallades a les universitats públiques però no ha concretat cap xifra ni cap mesura. Malgrat tot, ha reconegut que la situació és ''transitòria''.

Mas-Colell proposa que la mesura de requerir un cert nivell d'anglès sigui efectiva a partir del curs 2013-2014 i per tant, ''en el pitjor dels casos'' ha dit el conseller els estudiants ho sabran amb 4 anys d'antel·lació. Mas-Colell ha explicat que en les primeres setmanes presentarà aquesta proposta al Consell Interuniversitari de Catalunya. Per Mas-Colell, el nivell que s'hauria de requerir serà similar al B2 o el FIRST de l'anglès. L'objectiu del conseller és que ''d'una vegada per totes'' els titulats universitaris no tinguin problemes amb l'anglès, o alguna altra llengua estrangera.

Segons ha assegurat el Secretari d'Universitats i Recerca, Antoni Castellà, en principi aquest nivell és ''raonable i assumible'' per qualsevol persona que entri en l'àmbit universitari. Des de la secretaria s'ha explicat que hi ha prou recursos en escoles d'idiomes a les universitats, externes i recursos propis de la xarxa per poder assolir aquest nivell sense dificultat pels universitaris. Els estudiants que tinguin una certificació externa a la universitat del seu nivell de la tercera llengua estrangera, ja sigui el B2, el First Certificate o el TOEFL en el cas de l'anglès, podran convalidar-la, mentre que els que no, hauran de passar un examen a la mateixa universitat
